Hungarian meadow viper (Vipera ursinii rakosiensis). Photograph taken during the postsymposium trip to the Hungarian Meadow Viper Conservation Center near Budapest, Hungary. This facility is dedicated to protecting these endangered animals through habitat reconstruction and breeding. Little is currently known about the occurrence or effects of ranaviruses in wild squamate reptiles.
