ABSTRACT

A free-ranging, adult female eastern bluetongue skink, Tiliqua scincoides scincoids, was presented to the Australian Wildlife Health Centre with multiple skull fractures secondary to presumed road trauma. Fracture reduction and stabilization was accomplished using a combination of non-absorbable suture material and an intramedullary pin. Fracture healing was complete by three and a half months post surgery and the animal was subsequently released at the capture point.
