The left rear leg of a green tree frog, Hyla cinerea was amputated following a severe femoral fracture. After convalescence, the frog was reintroduced into the display area where volunteers monitored its locomotive abilities, successful capture of prey, and interaction with other frogs for one week. The frog adapted well and continues to be a popular and valuable feature of the exhibit.
